Live music-meditations,

& guided breathing
A music-meditation
Mamoon and Nova are the creators of Om Haiku.
Mamoon is the one who guides the music meditations for Om Haiku. He credits music and meditation for saving his life.
Mamoon’s creative practice came out of a longing to regulate his emotions better and trust in the unfolding of life.
Steel pans, flutes, chimes, rain sticks, harmoniums and harmonicas are his favorite instruments to play, and to work his energy through.
Mamoon is also the creator of 14 Step, a fourteen day digital detox in Costa Rica he facilitates with the help of his personal teachers.
Along with the in-person 14 Step retreats, he also does alternative therapy with a small number of people remotely, one on one, with the help of the Enneagram.
Nova is the one who films, edits, and uploads the daily music meditations for Om Haiku. The visual language of Om Haiku is distinctly hers. She’s been meticulously honing her videography craft since she was ten years old, and has an intuitive sense for unique visuals and design.
Without Nova, the recording, editing and uploading of over 1,000 Om Haiku episodes, each with its own visual, would not be possible.
She’s the one helping set up the green screen, camera, microphones, instruments, and the one who encourages Mamoon when he doesn’t feel like recording. She never gives up and brings a steady, grounded, resilient energy to the creative process.
She’s been together with Mamoon since 2020, after meeting as wilderness therapy guides in Southern Utah. They’ve been collaborating and co-creating together ever since.
Daily Affirmations
Coming Into This Moment:
Unlike Any Moment That’s Been Before
Meeting a moment as utterly itself and unique, rather than as a repeat of something familiar, is most of what these meditations are about.
Coming back to trust
in the unfolding of life.
Trust is the willingness to accept that life is unfolding for our greatest benefit, even when we can’t see how or why. To realize we didn’t create creation… so instead of trying to control it, we can have some faith in how it unfolds.
We lived to see another day…
it won’t always be that way.
Our days of living in this body, this identity, this particular circumstance… are finite. Remembering this truth is what makes an ordinary morning extraordinary. It’s what makes life miraculous.
Witnessing & Welcoming
all that’s inside, like old friends
When we can witness and welcome our thoughts and emotions (especially the unpleasant ones) as old friends, rather than old enemies… our inner life stops being a place to escape from, and becomes a safe haven to rest within.
